She’s largely stayed out of the public eye in recent months, following her assault accusation against a former official. With some fearing she had gone missing or been taken into custody by Chinese authorities.
But during Tuesday morning’s competition, she sat among Olympic athletes watching American-born Chinese freestyle skier Eileen Gu win the gold.
