Shen Yun came back to Philadelphia for the 14th time with 20 performances spanning a month.

It has received 15 awards of recognition from officials from various offices who welcomed Shen Yun back to the state.

State senator Christine M. Tartaglione saw Shen Yun at the Merriam Theater in Philadelphia on Feb. 28.

She said was deeply moved by the performance.

“It gave you hope. I’m telling you, they gave me hope,” said Tartaglione. “I have to tell you, it was so moving, and I can see the divinity. As the show went, I saw the spirituality coming out. I was extremely impressed.”

“When the beams of light came out, I could actually feel them going through me. I was moved that much.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive genuine traditional culture which has been systematically destroyed by the Chinese communist regime since it took power.

“In the United States, we do take an awful lot for granted. We have the freedom of speech, the freedom of dance. In this day and age, I did not realize that this art form cannot be performed in China. And I don’t understand why because it’s so beautiful, and it’s so moving.” Tartaglione continued.

Pennsylvania State representative Maria Donatucci also came to see the performance with her daughter at the Merriam Theater on March 1.

“I was saddened to hear that they don’t perform this in China. That was upsetting to me because it’s so beautiful, and it’s so cultural,” said Donatucci. “It’s a shame that their own country isn’t allowing this to the public. I hope that their objective is reached by doing this here. I really do.”

Donatucci said she was impressed by Shen Yun’s beauty.

“I think there’s a lot of emotion and passion in their movement. And it’s almost like worshipping, the way they move and dance with it,” added Donatucci.

“I have to tell you I’m inspired. I really am,” said Tartaglione. “You can feel the spirit in the dance, and it comes across and you can feel it.”

Tartaglione also encourages Shen Yun to continue to share its message with the world.

“I think it needs to continue, and to continue, and to continue,” said Tartaglione. “Till everybody understands exactly what this art form is.”

“I’m definitely coming back next year. And I’m gonna tell everyone that I know that this is a great show to come see.”
