The Philadelphia Eagles first victory in the franchise’s history sparked unruly and chaotic celebrations in the city, as fans poured into the streets to celebrate.
The aftermath of the Eagles 41-33 win as underdogs over the New England Patriots was captured on social media.
Footage shows some people igniting a fire in the middle of a street, but it was later extinguished by firefighters, according to Reuters.

Police officers in riot gear and on bicycles tried to control the rowdy crowds by forming lines and pushing people back.
As the night continued, there were reports of a car being flipped and a handful of injuries at the Ritz-Carlton where an awning collapsed under the weight of a group of fans, Philly.com reported.

According to the New York Post, before the game light poles were greased with hydraulic fluid, the city’s latest attempt to deter fans from climbing them to celebrate.
Footage shows smashed windows and dangerous “trust falls” where fans dropped into the crowd trusting that they would be caught.
Nineteen-year-old Dustin Fisher told the New York Post “This guy took a can of Bud Light and boom—shattered the window.”
