Police paid a visit to Wendy Williams after receiving an anonymous tip that her husband, Kevin Hunter, may have been poisoning the talk show host, according to new reports.

According to the police report obtained by People magazine, two police officers went to Williams’ house in New Jersey to follow up on the anonymous tip and were greeted at the door by her husband, Hunter.

While he was “hesitant” to let them inside, when they explained that they were required to speak to her because of the call, he let them enter.

Upon entering the residence, the police found Williams in bed “with blanket covering from neck to toe.”

One of the officers asked Hunter to leave the bedroom so that they would be able to speak to Williams alone, but he refused, according to TMZ.

When they asked Williams what the issue with her health was, she said she was recovering from a broken shoulder.

Eventually, an officer asked if there was any truth to the poisoning report, to which she responded with something along the lines of “Well, I’m very popular,” reported TMZ.

However, when she was pressed again, Williams reportedly “became tearful,” but denied she was being poisoned, according to the police report.

After that, Hunter “responded something to the effect that there had never been any calls to his house regarding domestic violence,” according to the police report.

When Williams assured the officers she was safe, they left.

Wendy Williams Files for Divorce

Earlier this month, Williams filed for divorce from Hunter after reports that he allegedly fathered a child with his mistress.

Williams’s husband, Kevin Hunter, is believed to be the father of a child with 33-year-old massage therapist Sharina Hudson.

“Sharina gave birth to the baby at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philly. Apparently, they chose this location because they were worried that if she gave birth in New York, it would be leaked to the press,” a source told Page Six.

Wendy Williams was found drunk after her husband’s alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, gave birth on March 25, according to the New York Post. The news emerged about a week after Williams admitted on her talk show that she was living in a sobriety house to deal with substance abuse issues.

“This is a crazy situation, Wendy is in a halfway house fighting for her sobriety, while her husband is at the side of his mistress who is giving birth to a baby. Sharina went into labor on Sunday [and] is believed to have given birth late on Sunday or in the early hours of Monday,” a source told Page Six.

Hunter broke his silence on the divorce in a statement to People magazine recently. In the statement, he admitted that he was “not proud of my recent actions,” and also apologized “to my wife, my family and her amazing fans.”

He also said he would continue to help out however he could. “I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs,” he said.

“No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine,” he added.

Husband Officially Leaves Her Show

Earlier this month, he was removed from The Wendy Williams Show as the executive producer.

“Keven Hunter is no longer an Executive Producer on the ‘Wendy Williams Show,'” a spokesperson told Page Six.

Hunter had been part of her show since 2008, and the two were married for almost 22 years, according to the news outlet.

While there were no issues with Hunter and his job duties, TMZ learned that his presence on set was causing Wendy Williams a lot of stress due to issues in their relationship.

In the midst of this affair, Williams missed hosting many episodes of her show, starting at the end of last year until she came back in the first part of this year.

Williams never confirmed the cheating rumors about her husband, but recently she had been seen without her wedding ring on some occasions.
