Police Lose Bid Over Birmingham Pub Bomber Sources

Police lost a legal bid to force a journalist who investigated the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings to reveal his sources. Chris Mullin helped expose one of the worst miscarriages of justice in British history, leading to the release of six men who had been wrongfully convicted for the bombings. He says the right to protect sources is “fundamental to a free press in a democracy.”
