A man in the south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was threatening to jump from a building that was currently under construction. Surveillance footage shows the man standing on the fourth-floor, ready and threatening to jump.
That’s when Police Officer Liang Xiao is seen. Xiao did his best to talk the man out of jumping and futility attempted to convince him to reconsider. In an act that caught even the office somewhat surprised, the man decided to jump. Instantly, Officer Liang Xiao reacts, Liang rushing to catch him before hitting the ground.
Catching him briefly in his arms, Liang hit the ground hard and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. and his heroic actions saved the suicidal man’s life. The jumper is a known drug user, who was apparently hallucinating after having taken hallucinogenic drugs.
