GOP electors in Michigan were shut out of the State Capitol as they tried to deliver their votes to the state senate floor. Both Democrat and Republican electors in the state placed votes.

Michigan state police blocked Republican electors from accessing the state capitol on Monday. They permitted Democratic electors to enter.

The Republican electors cast their votes for President Trump prior to the incident and have sent certificates to Washington.

Michigan GOP chair and elector Meshawn Maddock, told The Gateway Pundit, “We are not removing any electors. We are instead, sending Trump Republican Electors alongside the Democrat Electors.”

She also said “this needed to be done” and “It would be unwise not to do this,” due to allegations of election fraud in the state.

In multiple states where Biden is listed as the winner in the certified vote count, Republican electors on Monday cast their votes for Trump.

Georgia’s GOP Chair David Shafer says they made that move because of a pending lawsuit from the Trump campaign.

He said, “Had we not met today and cast our votes, the President’s pending election contest would have been effectively mooted. Our action today preserves his rights under Georgia law.”

State officials did not return a request for comment.
