Polish athlete wins Frankfurt Skyrun

World tower running champion Piotr “Showtime” Lobodzinski scored again.

The Polish tower-runner topped the 61-story Frankfurt MesseTurm in 6:31 beating defending champion Christian Riedl by 12 seconds.

Lobodzinski was quickest up the German skyscraper in 2014.

He beat Riedl up the 836 stairs of Warsaw’s Rondo 1 on March 26.

Despite winning, the Polish champ wanted a better time.

I am a little disappointed, maybe I am first so I should be happy, but I hoped to run today faster,” said Lobodzinski. “My goal was the record 6:26, and I made 6:31, so six seconds slower than my plan was.”

Skyrunning is an organized sport with  regional and a world championship.

The 18-race series includes the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, and Taipei 101.
