A Polish man was arrested after standing in front of a window display in a shopping mall and pretending to be a mannequin, before stealing from one of the stores after the shopping center closed, police in Warsaw said on Oct. 18.
“A 22-year-old with a bag in his hand froze motionless, pretending to be a mannequin in front of a shop window,” Warsaw police said in a statement. “In this way, he wanted to avoid being exposed by the cameras.” The man is alleged to have stolen jewelry from a store after the shopping center closed.
