Powerball Winning Numbers Announced; No Winners Yet

The Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $384 million after nobody won Wednesday’s drawing,  according to lottery officials on Thursday morning, USA Today reported.  The next drawing is Saturday night, Dec.30.

The winning Powerball numbers were 3, 9, 16, 56, 60 with a Powerball number of 3.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play, and drawings are always Wednesday and Saturday evenings.

Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot has risen to $306 million. The next drawing is 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.

Mega Millions changed its format in October, sending the odds of picking all six numbers to one in 302.6 million from one in 258.9 million, CNN noted. They also cost $2 per ticket.

The chance of winning both games is one in 88 quadrillion.
