President Joe Biden joined Health Secretary Xavier Becerra and Virginia Congresswoman Abigail Spanberge to give remarks on lowering health care costs.
The president focused mostly on the need to lower prescription drug prices, saying that Americans pay two to three times more for prescriptions than any other nation. He is proposing to cap the amounts paid for prescription drugs and to allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices. Biden added that lowering the cost of drugs will help alleviate the cost of inflation for American families.
