Voters are expected to give President Macron’s 1-year-old Republic On The Move party a majority in French parliamentary elections. The party was created by Macron for his centrist presidential campaign. The remaining parties are campaigning to get candidates into Parliament.
A majority representation would allow Macron to smoothly make reforms to labor law, pensions, and political ethics.
French people were highly apathetic about the presidential candidates leading up to Macron’s election. The parliamentary election should see stronger support.
