President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, May 22, in Jerusalem.
They will have in-depth discussions later in the day.
The president had just left Saudi Arabia, the first stop on his nine day international trip.
“Their feeling toward Israel is really very positive. Tremendous progress has been made. I think a lot of that progress has been made because of the aggression of Iran. It’s forcing people together in a very positive way,” said Trump.
Netanyahu said Trump’s strong position on Iran will help with establishing peace in the Middle East.
The president criticized Iran for causing instability in region. He said Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.
