President Trump calls Comey’s leaks ‘cowardly’ and perhaps ‘illegal’

President Trump called the leaks by former FBI director James Comey ‘cowardly’ on June 11.

The president tweeted, “I believe the James Comey leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible. Totally illegal? Very ‘cowardly!’”

Comey testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee last week. He accused the president of trying to squash an investigation into Gen. Michael Flynn.

The former FBI head also admitted to leaking accounts of his conversations with the president to the media through a friend.

President Trump has denied Comey’s accusations and said he was willing to testify under oath.
