U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his long-held opposition to Obamacare, calling it a disaster and promising a better health care plan, during a news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“We have a great plan. We have a plan that’s getting more and more popular with the Republican base with the conservative base and with people generally,” Trump said on Friday afternoon (March 17).
The Republican-proposed bill to replace Obamacare faces political battles to be fought, but President Trump seemed optimistic the bill would pass in Congress.
