President Trump inks plan to modernize air traffic control

President Trump wants to fix flight delays by overhauling the air traffic control system. He wants to remove the responsibility from the FAA and give it to a new organization. This would allow the FAA to maintain focus.

President Trump talked about how it would work.

“Under this new plan, the federal aviation administration will focus firmly on what it does best, safety. A separate nonprofit entity would be charged with ensuring route efficiency, timely service, and a long awaited reduction in delays,” he said.

Trump still needs the approval of Congress.
