President Trump sent a series of tweets about the latest developments in the Mideast.

The president was thrilled that Gulf nations were opposing Qatar.

Four major Gulf Arab nations cooperated to cut off Qatar.

Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates ended diplomatic ties. Yemen, Libya, and the Maldives also cut ties with Qatar. These nations claim Qatar funds ISIS.

The president called for a halt to the funding of terrorism. He felt that this action was at least in part a result of his urgings.

He tweeted: “So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding… extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!”

Qatar is one of the few Gulf Arab nations that allies itself with Iran.

Many anti-ISIS missions fly out of the U.S. military’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
