President Trump talks infrastructure with local leaders

President Trump convened local government officials for what he called The White House Infrastructure Summit on June 8.

He explained to them his new infrastructure investment plan. Public/private partnerships and federal and local partnerships are a large part of the plan. “Together we’re going to rebuild America,” he told them.

The president held up as an example Florida’s I-4 Ultimate Project.

This project utilized a wide range of funding streams. With its public/private partnerships, which not only provide funds but speed permit approval, it should be finished years ahead of schedule.

“Working together I’m confident we can translate every taxpayer dollar into new pavement in our cities, new locks and new dams, new pipes for our water and I will tell you we’re just going to have a much better, more modern, more acceptable infrastructure,” Trump told the assembled government leaders.
