A group of Hong Kong lawmakers loyal to the Chinese Communist Party were sworn into the city’s Legislature on Monday. They recently won in a so-called “patriots-only” election. Only pro-Beijing candidates could run. Pro-democracy candidates or Beijing’s critics were banned from running.
