Projection: Relief to Push Record High Deficit

President Joe Biden is expected to explain more about how his new relief plan will be implemented. Biden will be going to Pennsylvania Tuesday to begin his tour to tout the rescue plan. Some say Biden’s holding this tour to wipe out doubt about the usefulness of his relief plan. When signed, it got no support from Republicans, and one House Democrat voted against it.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the relief price tag is pushing the federal deficit to record levels. Latest projections show 2020’s deficit totals to hit over $3 trillion—that’s three times more than the year before.
