Protective mom screams robber out of her home

An intruder was not ready for the tirade he received when he broke into the home of one young mother in Las Vegas. After smashing a glass door, he proceeded up the stairs where he met with the screaming mom, just out of the shower, wearing nothing but a towel.

Sharon Montelongo-Navar had two young children behind her, and she wasn’t going to let the home intruder get anywhere near them. She yelled and continued to yell at the man until he was long out of sight. The man ran like a frightened deer.

Upon encountering the angry mom the crook hightailed it out of the house, running down the stairs and out of the glass door that he broke on the way in. He then hopped over a high wall at the back of the home to get out of there as quickly as possible, like something out of a cartoon.

Sharon Montelongo-Navar’s husband wasn’t home at the time. Ricky Navar called his wife soon after, and was impressed with his wife’s reaction, according to ABC 13 Action News.

“Her first words weren’t you know freaking out. She wasn’t screaming when I called. She was cool, calm, collected, just like she was when the guy came in here and I’m so blessed to have a strong amazing wife.”

Nothing was taken from the home and no arrests have yet been made. Police think the suspect looks like a man captured on surveillance cameras of other nearby home invasion robberies.
