Putin Slated to Meet Xi in Virtual Meeting

Russian President Putin is slated to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping virtually on Tuesday along with India’s prime minister. It’s set to be Putin’s first appearance on the world stage after his country’s domestic mutiny.

Two weeks ago, a private mercenary group called Wagner seized key military facilities in Russia. But a secretive deal stopped the incident. With Wagner pulling back and the group’s leader sent to Belarus. Now, uncertainties hang in the air as for what this means for Putin’s regime and the war on Ukraine.

On Monday, China’s defense minister met with his Russian counterpart. Vowing to take military ties to a new level.
