Queen Elizabeth holds minute of silence at Trooping the Color

Queen Elizabeth held a minute’s silence on June 17 for the victims of the London tower block fire.

The queen was at at the Trooping the Color, a large parade of soldiers through central London.

It marks the queen’s official 91st birthday.

In her official birthday message, the queen said Britain is in a somber mood amid the tragic events taking place across the country, such as terrorist attacks, political crisis, and the most recent fire. However, the people are resolute.

She said she was touched by people’s support for the victims of the fire and others in need.
