Queen Elizabeth recreates Queen Victoria’s historic train journey

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are recreating a train ride taken 175 years earlier.

Queen Victoria was the first monarch to ride the train. Queen Elizabeth commemorated that event by riding from Slough to London with Prince Philip.

She was greeted at the train station by children and other residents. She also unveiled a train named after her.

At the end of the journey via the Great Western Railway, she was given a commemorative gift before departing.
