Race Against Time: First Responders Save Farmer Buried Up to His Neck After Falling Into Corn Bin

It was a race against time to save a farmer’s life in Lawrence County, Tennessee. The man fell in a half-full grain bin, and was buried up to his neck in corn kernels. A group of first responders had to work fast to prevent the man from being crushed and suffocated by the quicksand-like corn. Video footage shows the responders using special equipment and working furiously to pull the man to safety.

A military plane that overshot a Hawaiian airbase runway landed in shallow water last week. The U.S. Navy said on Nov. 28 that its team had removed over 2,000 gallons of fuel on board, and was working to get the plane out of the water. Video footage shows the plane sitting in the water above a coral reef in the Hawaiian bay.

A deer was stranded on the slippery surface of a frozen Minnesota lake. Video footage shows two firefighters crawling to the young buck before pushing him across the ice to safety.
