Two snow leopard cubs, one male, one female, are making their public debut at Bronx Zoo in New York. They have not been named yet, but are the offspring of two resident snow leopards at the zoo. The zoo currently has 10 snow leopards in total.
Snow leopards live in the highest areas of Central Asia and are listed as “vulnerable” by the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Bronx Zoo was the first zoo to display snow leopards in 1903. Since then, they have had 80 births, the zoo said.
