Oregon is the nation’s number one supplier of fresh-cut trees, and expects to ship nearly 6 million evergreens this season to places as far away as Japan.

McKenzie Cook is the owner of McKenzie Farms in a rural area southwest of Portland.  He started shipping trees a week earlier than usual to large retailers like Costco and Home Depot.

Americans are looking for something joyful to do at home, and want to end 2020 on a happier note.

The Christmas Tree Promotion Board found that more than 20 percent of people who put up a fake tree last year are opting for a real one this year.

Most cited the pandemic as their reason.  Family farmer Teagan Milera has also been busier than usual.

Milera is part of the sixth generation of growers at Lee Farms in Tualatin, Oregon.

The farm offers pre-cut trees or the chance to pick and cut your own from acres of evergreens.

Hopefully, their Christmas trees can bring some much needed cheer this holiday season.
