Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and his colleagues will hold a press conference on Capitol Hill from 3:00–4:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 13 to announce his motion to impeach Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in the 118th Congress. Biggs first introduced the articles of impeachment in August 2021, after concluding that Mayorkas’s dereliction of duty in protecting U.S. borders constituted high crimes and misdemeanors.
Nearly 20 members of Congress and former Trump administration immigration officials will attend the conference and comment on this case.
