At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Nov. 15, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) grilled Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over whether he was aware that several top intelligence officials signed a public statement that “incorrectly implied” a New York Post report about Hunter Biden’s laptop just ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
She also asked Mr. Mayorkas if he knew that the statement was used by multiple media organizations and social media businesses to “downplay and censor the story about the Hunter Biden political influence.”
Mr. Mayorkas said he did not know to both questions.
