Rep. George Santos Appears in Court for First Time Since Pleading Not Guilty

In the criminal case against Rep. George Santos, prosecutors said they delivered about 80,000 pages in documents to the defense earlier this week. Santos’s attorney said that Congress’s upcoming recess in August would be a good time to review those documents. The judge set Santos’s next court date for Sept. 7, one week before Congress is back in session.
