The brother of the fiancé of DJ Khaled was shot inside his Bronx apartment, according to a report from the New York Daily News.

Jonathan Tuck, the brother of Nicole Tuck—set to marry DJ Khaled—was allegedly trying to buy marijuana when he was shot in the head at around 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, officials said. He was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital at the age of 25.

“He’s a good guy,” said friend Brandon Davis, 30. “He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was no reason for him to be there.”

Tuck apparently argued with the suspect before the shooting took place.

An investigation into the matter is underway.

“Our family appreciates the condolences from loved ones and friends. We are requesting privacy during this difficult time,” DJ Khaled wrote in a statement, People magazine reported.

Davis said he and Tuck were slated to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. But Tuck, who is the father of a young daughter, never appeared, he said, according to People.

There was no reason for him to be there,” Davis said of the shooting.

Khaled, born Khaled Mohamed Khaled in New Orleans, was in Minneapolis performing at the time of the shooting.
