Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger has reportedly undergone a successful heart surgery.

Sources told Billboard.com on the night of  April 4 that 75-year-old Jagger received a heart valve replacement surgery in New York City and is now recovering. It said he underwent a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

“I was told he’s fine,” a source told People magazine. “If it was someone else, they’d need to recover for two weeks … because Mick jumps around and the performances are strenuous, he needed to postpone the tour.”

Previously, the Drudge Report said on April 1 that the operation would be done this week.

“While the recovery time for the procedure is much shorter than surgery, Jagger must rest for four to five days so that the artery can heal without any severe bleeding issues. He could be up and moving in a few days, but will need some additional recovery time before returning to the stage,” Billboard reported.

Jagger’s representatives and the Rolling Stones have not issued a statement on the matter.

“I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger tweeted on March 30 before the news of his heart procedure broke.

He added: “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”

The Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour was set to kick off in Florida on April 20. On March 30, the band announced the decision to postpone it.
