A new report sent to the government warns about China-made smart network modules, as they expose UK businesses and individuals to espionage and data theft. These modules for the cellular Internet of Things, or IoT, gather data from products, such as security cameras, police cameras, and smartwatches, then transmit it via the 5G network. Author of the report, former British diplomat Charles Parton says it’s time to wake up, and free and open countries should ban Chinese-manufactured IoT modules from their supply chains as soon as possible.
