Democrats across the country have been making it easier to vote in elections. The pandemic ushered in a wave of loosened election laws, but even before that, regulations were loosened and new innovations like mail-in ballots, early voting, and ballot harvesting were widely adopted. It can now take up to a week to get election results in some parts of the country. Conservatives want these policies to be outlawed, but you need to be in power to make these changes—and to do that, you have to win elections.

Cleta Mitchell, chairwoman of the Election Integrity Network, joins Newsmakers to discuss this approach, the Democrats’ election strategy, and election integrity.
