Shakespeare’s greatest villain—King Richard III—has been referred to as one of England’s worst monarchs. But the debate over whether he was really that bad has continued for centuries. The republication of a text from the 1600s challenges Shakespeare’s murderous and jealous portrayal of the King. NTD spoke to historian and chair of the Richard III Society Matthew Lewis for his take on the matter.
