Lance Roberts, chief strategist at RIA advisors tweeted on Friday that insiders are cashing out their special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) investments, leaving retail investors holding the bag. Early investors can sell their shares back to the SPAC or redeem them for a set price. The number of those redemptions has sky-rocketed over the past two months.
