Russian Oil Exports to China Soar to Record Highs

China’s crude oil imports from Russia are up 55 percent from last year. The figure hit a record high this May with Moscow displacing Saudi Arabia as Beijing’s top supplier. The boom comes as refineries cashed in on discounted supplies amid sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.
