J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, recently challenged police to arrest her when she arrives in Scotland over the country’s new policy. Scotland’s Hate Crime and Public Order Act makes it illegal to stir up hatred based on elements such as age, religion, and gender identity.
