SCOTUS Hears Case on Trump-Era Border Policy

The Supreme Court today took up a case that calls into question a Trump-era immigration policy. The policy is often referred to as the “remain in Mexico” policy because it forces illegal immigrants to stay in Mexico as they wait for their asylum claims to be processed. Texas sued the Biden administration, and lower courts have ruled conservatively thus far, effectively preventing Biden from getting rid of this Trump-era rule. But now the White House has asked the supreme court to weigh in.
