SEC Charges Cryptocurrency Firm Ripple

The SEC has charged cryptocurrency firm Ripple with conducting a $1.3 billion unregistered securities offering. Ripple has rejected the charges, saying it’s a currency and does not need to be registered as an investment contract.

NTD News spoke to cryptocurrency expert Aaron Kaplan, co-founder and co-CEO of Prometheum. He says the SEC went after Ripple because it’s the most centralized network.
