Second US Congressional Delegation Visits Taiwan

A second U.S. congressional delegation arrived in Taiwan Wednesday. The group is led by Sens. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Dan Sullivan (R-Ark.). The trip comes days after a visit by a U.S. House delegation led by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. On Tuesday, Washington appointed the next de-facto ambassador to Taiwan.
