U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and Under Secretary for Nuclear Security and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator Jill Hruby will announce a major scientific breakthrough at 10 a.m., on Dec. 13, accomplished by researchers at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Dr. Arati Prabhakar, NNSA Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs Dr. Marvin “Marv” Adams, and LLNL Director Dr. Kim Budil will join Granholm and Hruby.
Scientists will hold a panel discussion after the press conference, and there also will be a Q&A section.
