The Conservative Party has delayed sending out ballots for its leadership contest, after an alert from the UK’s intelligence agency. Ballots were due to be posted this week to 160,000 Conservative party members, who will be casting their vote to decide the next prime minister. In a letter, the party’s head of membership said the postal ballots will arrive a little later than they originally said, as they take time to add some additional security.
