During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Nov. 2, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) grilled Christopher Charles Fonzone, President Joe Biden’s nominee to be assistant attorney general at the Department of Justice, over his past work for the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese tech giant Huawei.

“You did more than just a little bit,” Ms. Blackburn said. “One of the things that concerns me is basically your work with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, you were advising them on how to game the system, the American system.” She also asked Mr. Fonzone if he condemns “the politicization of the Department of Justice.”
