Sen. Hawley Grills Mayorkas on Whistleblower Allegation of Special Agents ‘Making Sandwiches’ at Southern Border

During a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) grilled Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over a whistleblower’s allegation that hundreds of DHS special agents are being taken away from investigating cases to serve the illegal immigrants at the southern border. “You’re not going to deny it!” Mr. Hawley claimed when Mr. Mayorkas avoided his questions.
