Seven die in Ohio house fire

A house in Akron, Ohio, burned down in the early morning hours of May 15 with seven people inside.

Neighbors called in the fire around 3 a.m. The entire house was aflame when the fire department arrived.

According to neighbors and a relative, there were children inside.

At the time of publication, the Akron Fire Department had only investigated the first floor and were preparing to head upstairs to the bedrooms.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Akron Fire Department Chief Clarence Tucker said, “A fire that is this severe, you never can rule out the possibility of arson but we have fire investigators here now trying to determine the cause of this fire.”
