Severe weather hit parts of eastern North Carolina on June 5. Local station WCTI reported damage from a possible tornado.
Power was knocked out in the area, and several buildings were damaged. There were no injuries, according WCTI.
“Just saw tree limbs and stuff start going, so I went and got in the closet, and while I was in the closet, it blew the air conditioner out of the window and into the bedroom,” said one local resident.
Utility crews worked to restore power. Heavy rains made for hazardous driving conditions.
