CEO Says Shen Yun Is Beauty With a Soul

May 8, 2019

Shen Yun performed a few years ago in Zurich, and returned this 2019 season for new eight performances. Company CEO Andi Tonazzi attended the show at Theater 11 Zürich on April 13, and thoroughly enjoyed the spirituality conveyed through the stories and songs presented by Shen Yun.

“Absolutely beautiful! It was inspiring, moving, colorful, melodious and, as a whole, enchanting,” said Andi Tonazzi, owner & CEO of a Swiss company.

“Very beautiful. I played in a symphony orchestra for a long time myself,” said Simone Meyer, former symphony orchestra flutist. “It was beautiful, and it supported the whole choreography. The different instruments you could make out through the music were really beautiful.”

“The different rhythms in the music, with the choreography of the dancers, from the somewhat faster pieces to the flowing movements with the long sleeves …” said Tonazzi. “And then the coordination with the video-style backdrop—that worked together so well! The entire composition, both optically and musically, was in perfect harmony. It was a surprise for me, because I didn’t expect something like that to be in the program. But it is certainly something that encourages one to reflect. Which means that it’s not just some music and a dance program for entertainment, but that there are also elements that give you pause for thought.”

“It’s really performed very harmoniously, and it touches you. Sometimes there were situations that really touched me emotionally. But it was very well presented as part of the overall picture. It was sad, discerning, but it was also happy and harmonious. It had a bit of everything and that was very nice, because a culture consists not only of beautiful elements, but also of things that encourage you to think. And I found that very beautiful,” Meyer added.
