Houston Audience Member Touched by Shen Yun: “There Is a Creator. He Wants You to Be Saved and Go to Heaven.”

A full house of theatre-goers were dazzled by Shen Yun Performing Arts which performed at Jones Hall in Houston on Dec. 26. Henry Wall, president of Wall to Wall Air Conditioning & Heating, was particularly impressed by Shen Yun’s message.

Mr. Wall shared a message that he got from the performance, “There is a creator,” he said. “He wants you to be saved and go to heaven.”

Mr. Wall said he appreciated that the “divine concepts” of tradition and family that were on full display in the performance. They are “really good things for a culture to have,” he said.

He said Shen Yun’s showcasing of 5,000 years of Chinese culture helped him understand why some of his Chinese friends, “seemed very gentle and respectful, and considerate of people.”

Mr. Wall had come to see Shen Yun Performing Arts with his wife, Carol.

“This is my Christmas present,” Mrs. Wall said. “And, I am so happy that he brought me because I love the colors.”

“I could see on their faces, just the joy.

Mrs. Wall said she could really sense the dancers’ dedication. “And I think it’s absolutely wonderful.”

“It’s More than Dance”

Mr. Wall expressed surprise at how representative of real life the performance was, “It’s really depicting all forms of life—war, love, battles, marriage, family, troubles, and the priesthood. It was fascinating.”

Both were stunned by the dancers’ abilities to interpret their character’s personalities in the many stories portrayed, be it “arrogance, or love, or that they were a smart aleck,” Mr. Wall said.

“Really good actors, really. Not just dancing, but acting. It’s more than dance,” he said.

For Mrs. Wall, it was the dancers “being so fluid in their movements” that impressed her the most.
