“The show elevates the being. The most grounded feels something that elevates him, that carries him away. He no longer feels his body, he no longer feels his weight, quite simply, he lets himself be bathed, carried, as by the marvelous images that appear in the show. This is to give an image that’s certainly poor but luminous of what we feel. Everything contributes to the elevation of the being; no matter who it is, he can’t remain neutral; it’s not possible,” he said.
“I am delighted that the culture I knew in China 20 years ago, which has completely disappeared, comes back to life with your efforts. Bravo, bravo, bravo! The Heavens are present, the Heavens and nature are here, and Shen Yun brings all of this back to life. And I believe one day, everything will return as it should,” he said.
For Mr.Schneider, Shen Yun not only brings delight, but sheds insights on human nature.
“And now I smile. It’s not a smile of my body—it’s a smile of my soul,” he said. “Your show is a tool for summing up all human and natural qualities. That humanism is human nature, not egotism. That what I give, I receive in return. It’s not me who needs convincing, but the show convinces it all.”
“Divine art is something natural to man,” Mr. Schneider said. “We have an envelope, we have energy, and we have the soul. Anyone who doesn’t feel that—they’re not newborns. They’re the fruit of a lot of habit and manipulation. But I remain fundamentally optimistic about life. I believe that in another life, I’ll be even more successful. Really, thank you, it’s absolutely transcendent. Thank you.”
